Did You Suffer from Poor Nutritional Judgement Recently?

Now that Christmas is over, it is time to reflect on your recent dietary choices. Specifically, when the party host offered you a cookie, they meant ONE cookie; not the entire tray. It’s ok, mistakes happen. You can work on your comprehension skills later. For now, let’s focus on improving your nutritional health by following ultra-practical nutritional advice.

If you suffered from poor nutritional judgement recently, no worries. Bury the guilt with all those other mysterious things you’re hiding. Each passing day is another chance to turn it all around. However, do not wait until January 1st to act. Begin now. Use these final days of 2023 to start a healthy, new trend. This way you will hit the ground running into 2024 with some momentum, otherwise, you may stagnate another week, wallowing in your own… long list of excuses.

The most important action you can take for the next few days is to reject overeating. Don’t just avoid overeating. Avoid is the wrong word. You must learn to blatantly REJECT overeating, reject ideas, reject people, reject situations, and reject influences that do not support your goals and lifestyle. Certain things can’t be avoided because they may be out of your control but everything can be rejected. The power to reject is completely within your internal control and does not rely on external factors. Look the situation this way, if you do not actively reject an overconsumption attitude, then you are passively accepting it.

So, for for the beginning of 2024 you must start your own healthy trend and reject the nutritionally insane idea that your stomach needs to feel stuffed for you to be satisfied. Eat less. That’s right, eat less. It is a remarkably simple idea. Reject overeating and eat less. Start the new year with less food volume intake, especially for the next few days. Now is exactly the time you need to focus. An easy approach is to reduce your portion size from what you normally eat or leave food on your plate. A little bit of nutrition psychology goes a long way, so get your mind right, reject overeating and eat less during the holiday so that you are better prepared for the best year of your life. And remember, on New Year’s Day when the host offers you snack, they mean ONE. SINGLE. SNACK. Not the entire tray.
